We have been enjoying autumn since the 22nd of September, with the back and forth weather that in Texas is a lot of sunshine then rain, cool and then humid and hot.
The great thing about all of the September and October rain is that indoors weather gives you the perfect chance to do a lot of updating of family records.
Since I have had portions of my family tree very well filled in for a long time, I keep a paper folder of relatives to look at when I have spare time.
These relatives are my "brick walls". I have not been able to find anything more about them for a long time. Every fall, I pull out this folder and type these names into various sites to see if there is any new information. Most of the time, I am still stuck, but every once in a while, I hit a clue or two.

FindAGrave.Com I really like this site a good deal. It is a volunteer website where people all over the world contribute photos of grave markers, add information and help to get all of the people in cemeteries all over the world into the virtual cemetery. I have been a member for years. Free to join and free to use. I have discovered information on 3 different family members where I had nothing to go on through the wonderful efforts of volunteers. If you go to cemeteries, consider taking photos of undocumented graves for them. There is even an app you can add to your phone, to make it easier.
I write a lot about genetic genealogy, family trees, DNA, and home life as well as the occasional product review. Comments? Email me at CocktailsAndSwagger@Hotmail.com
